A new conservation area was officially opened in Southwold Township in September 2024: Deer Ridge in Talbotville. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Robin and I walked the main trail around the park; the main trail is about 1.5 km in length.
The trail strategically works its way out to two viewpoints over Dodd Creek far below. Autumn is definitely the time to do the trail as the views to the creek in spring and summer would be blocked by leaves.
Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.
