I have been enjoying the progress I’m making on my 25 km from WTF project but the desire to do something bigger has been creeping in for sometime. I’ve long thought about going to Europe to do the Camino de Santiago or one of the other long distance trails there. But there are closer options, the Bruce Trail being one of those:
The Bruce Trail’s combination of diverse landscapes, unique geology, biological treasures and human history is what drew me in. With the main trail being over 900 km long, there is plenty to discover and see.
While it is possible to thru-hike the Bruce Trail, my plan to complete the entire trail is to do a combination of day hikes and Section End-to-End multi-day hikes. The only downside is that it is a minimum two-hour drive for me to reach even the closest trailhead.
My Progress
The map below shows my progress on completing the Bruce Trail redline:
Over time, this map should more and more resemble the upper map as I finish more hikes.
