BTP: Kilbride to Crawford Lake

…another beautiful autumn day today; we started the hike with the temperature being about 10 deg C and overcast.

…another interesting group of people hiking today; five of us did the Mt Nemo hike two weeks before.

…the trail started in a more reasonable manner than the Mt Nemo hike.

…meromictic Crawford Lake was the star of the show; Robin and I saw an exhibit on Crawford Lake at the ROM back in September which sparked my interest in this particular hike; the lake itself is really quite small and seems a bit out of place in its landscape.

…the recently completed boardwalk around the lake is very impressive, allowing people to see the lake but keeping human interaction with the water to a minimum.

…we were a bit late for the best autumn leaves from the Nassagaweya Canyon viewpoint but it still was spectucular.

…there were several moments on the return hike where the sun broke out of the clouds and lit up the remaining autumn leaves.
