BTP: Mt Nemo to Kilbride

…a couple of firsts today: my first recorded hike on the Bruce Trail and my first group hike with the Bruce Trail Conservatory.

…a steep uphill to start the hike from the Mount Nemo Conservation Area southeast parking lot; reminded me of hiking in the Rockies.

…beautiful views from the top of the Escarpment towards Mississauga and Toronto beyond with the fall colours just starting to reach their peak.

…discovered that the hike leader was the daughter of a chemistry professor I had during my undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo.

…the middle section of the hike, along Colling Road and Blind Line, was pleasant enough despite being on roads; the roads were pretty quiet.

…the final third of the hike, the Cedar Springs section, was very nice hiking, but with more up and down than I was expecting.

…felt good afterwards with this hike being my longest in quite a while.
