Spring has been taking awhile to come here to the Netherlands this year. While we had another mild weather with only a few hours below freezing, the daytime temperatures here in Amsterdam remain between 5 and 10 degrees C. Even thought the photo above looks very spring-like, just 5 minutes later we were getting rain and hail. We have visitors for the next few weeks and hopefully the weather will improve.
The Mauritskade encircles the old canal district of Amsterdam and represents the edge of the Centruum district. Many important museums and sights like the Rijksmuseum and Tropenmuseum are located on it.
This photo is also one of the first I’ve taken with my new lens, a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8. The reviews for this lens for Nikon DX cameras have been very good.
