{"id":1772,"date":"2024-03-30T10:56:26","date_gmt":"2024-03-30T14:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stationstudios.ca\/trains\/?p=1772"},"modified":"2024-11-16T19:56:56","modified_gmt":"2024-11-17T00:56:56","slug":"mqr-brand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stationstudios.ca\/trains\/mqr-brand\/","title":{"rendered":"Making a MQR Postcard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I had a lot of fun putting together this homage to the Penrhyn Quarry Railway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It all started when I found an online scan of this old postcard  while searching for images of the Penrhyn Quarry Railway:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stationstudios.ca\/trains\/wp-content\/uploads\/Penrhyn-Postcard-1-600x375.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1771\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stationstudios.ca\/trains\/wp-content\/uploads\/Penrhyn-Postcard-1-600x375.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.stationstudios.ca\/trains\/wp-content\/uploads\/Penrhyn-Postcard-1-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.stationstudios.ca\/trains\/wp-content\/uploads\/Penrhyn-Postcard-1-150x94.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.stationstudios.ca\/trains\/wp-content\/uploads\/Penrhyn-Postcard-1.jpg 666w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t have a good idea of when the post card was made, but I suspect it would be some time between 1910 and 1950.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I built the MQR version up in PowerPoint, using some photos I had of my Marchlyn rolling stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colours:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Penrhyn Railway Red: R:242, G:68, B: 79<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Penrhyn Railway Dark Gray: R:83, G:78, B:78<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Penrhyn Railway Green: R:151, G:211, B:183  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The toughest part to recreate was the logo.
