Hike: Port Stanley Beach

Visit the photo set 2015: A Hike Along Port Stanley Beach on Flickr.

Now that the farm purchase was completed, Robin and I were interested in understanding better what lay below the cliffs at the south end of the property. Rather than trying to descend the cliffs there, we decided to walk from the east towards the property at the water’s edge. It made for an interesting hike as we discovered that the width of the beach shrinks as you move west and around the corner of the bluff just below Grand Canyon Road, the lake comes right up the cliffs, making walking difficult.  There was a good wind blowing and the waves were growing pretty substantial, so we didn’t go much further.

I took some photographs as we walked along; presenting them in black-and-while using an old-style B&W film (400Tx) felt appropriate.
